Especially in the last few years, the importance and spread of QR-Codes has increased significantly. The reason for this is primarily the Corona pandemic, as this technology made it possible to provide information without having to make direct contact to other people. But how can I scan a QR-Code? Is it also possible without a QR-Code scanner?

Nowadays it is usually very easy. Current smartphone models from leading providers normally already have a QR-Code scanner built in. The scanner is located in the regular camera of the device. 

To read a QR-Code with a scanner, proceed as follows: 

1. Open the camera app on your smartphone.
2. hold the camera until you can see the QR-Code on the display.
3. The camera should now recognise the code and show a link button on the screen. If this is not the case, use your finger to tap on the display where the QR-Code is located, in order to focus the camera on it.
4. Click on the link button that appears. This leads to the embedded information in the code.

If the device you are using does not yet have this function, there are of course other ways to scan a QR-Code. One option would be to download a QR scanner app from the App / Play Store. These provide the smartphone with the necessary functions for scanning.

2. Allow the website to access your camera (otherwise the QR-Code cannot be read).
3. The stored information will then be opened.
